For Gas Safe registered engineers · UK

Do the job. Tap the cert.
Go home with nothing left to type.

The Gas Hub is the whole working day for a gas engineer in one app — CP12s, tightness tests, service records, quotes and invoices, all done on site from your phone and in the customer's inbox before you're back in the van.

Picture Friday night.

Last job's done at half four. The cert went to the landlord from the drive. The invoice went with it. Tuesday's quote got chased by itself. There's no pile on the kitchen table, no “I'll do it Sunday”, and nothing's in the van that should be in a file.

That's the job the app does. Not “software” — the boring hour every evening that you never got paid for.

IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4 — the standard from 1 October 2026

And from 1 October the paperwork changes anyway.

IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4 replaces the meter-size tables with Installation Volume. New sums, new record, same day the phones start ringing for winter. The Gas Hub was built to Edition 4 from day one — you change nothing. What actually changes →

How it works

1
Sign up in two minutes
Name, Gas Safe number, logo. That's it. Nothing to install on a laptop — it's your phone.
2
Do the job, tap through the record
CP12, service, tightness test, warning notice — the app asks the questions the cert needs, times the test, saves the photos against the job.
3
Customer's got it before you've moved the van
Cert and invoice emailed with your logo on, PDF kept forever, findable by address next time you're there.

Used on real jobs, not in a demo

Eco Heat Surge in Yorkshire runs every gas job through The Gas Hub — CP12s, services, breakdowns, the lot. The engineers testing it are Gas Safe registered and they tell us when we've got something wrong, and we fix it the same day.

Did a landlord's cert on site, tapped send, and it was in her inbox before I'd got back to the van. Used to be a Sunday-night job.
Danny · Eco Heat Surge, Yorkshire
Every gas job we do goes through it now. I can see what the lads have done this week without ringing round.
Adam · Eco Heat Surge
First hundred engineers get three months free for an honest review. That's the deal — no made-up five stars on here.
The Founder 100 offer — ask for the code

Every cert carries a verify link — anyone can check it's genuine at thegas-hub.co.uk.

What's actually in it

Everything a one-van engineer or a small firm needs. Nothing you'd have to be a computer person to use.

🧪
Every record, every calculator
CP12, service, breakdown, warning notice, tightness test to Edition 4 (natural gas, LPG, LPG/Air) — all timed and photographed to the standard.
💷
Quotes, invoices, chasing
Quote on the doorstep, invoice from the clock-off, and it chases the ones that haven't paid so you don't have to.
📍
It remembers the house
Type the address and it tells you what you found last time and what you noted for yourself.
👷
Run the lads (Business)
Gaffer Hub — every job the crew did this week, who's been quiet, what came back a fail, hours for payroll.
🤖
Ask the Hub (bolt-on)
Fault codes, parts, what the reg actually says — out loud, hands mucky. It never guesses a figure; you sign the job off.
📶
Cellars, lofts, no signal
Everything but the assistant works offline and catches up when you're back out.
🖊️
Your logo, your firm
Certs, quotes and invoices look like you sent them. Because you did.
🔒
Yours, backed up nightly
Export whenever you like. Copied to secure storage every night. Leave any time and take it with you.

Built in a workshop, not an office.

I'm Ben. I've built custom vehicles from the ground up for twenty years, and I got sick of paperwork eating my evenings. So I built the thing I wanted, and put it in the hands of Gas Safe registered engineers on real jobs — they tell me when I've got it wrong, and I fix it.

It's not a big software company — it's me. If something's wrong, you email me and I fix it. Usually the same day.

Straight answers

Is it Gas Safe compliant?

The records follow the current forms and the tightness test follows IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4. The app records and calculates — it never signs anything off. You, the Gas Safe registered engineer on site, remain responsible for the work. Every cert has a public verify link.

Do I need signal on site?

No. Everything but the assistant works offline and syncs when you're back out.

What happens to my certs if I leave?

They're yours. Export them any time, and they stay verifiable.

Why do you want a card for a free trial?

So the week rolls straight into your account if you keep it. Nothing's taken for 7 days, and cancelling is one tap in the app — no phone call, no email.

I'm not a computer person.

Neither's the bloke who built it. If you can use WhatsApp you can use this. And if you get stuck, you email a human.

Your next job could be the last one you write up at the kitchen table.
